Moondance

Come out and dance with me my love.
How much of you will I see tonight?
Some say you are trying to start anew but I know you are just being shy.
Your beauty is beyond words.
I know you love me too.
Why must you go through such stages of uncertainty?
All the waxing and waning...
It is as if you must rediscover yourself each time.
Oh please, show me your all tonight.
I want to shine upon on your every curve.
Must I tell you this each time for you to look at me directly?
When you turn your eyes to mine, your allure is overwhelming.
Our dance will illuminate everything!
When we are aligned we become so magnetic that even the tides will overflow.
Do not deny us this.
Come out and dance with me my love.

Vegan, Vegan, Why art thou vegan?

Okay, so, I've been haunted a while about my eating meat and would like to tranform into a vegan lifestyle. At this point, it all seems very overwhelming to me. I don't really know where to start because it is a lifestyle change that I must make not only for myself but also for my, not so eager, family. I don't know anyone who is a vegan to get advise or support from, except through blogging. As a child, I didn't eat a large amount of meat and have always loved my veggies. I do love eggs, milk and cheese though. After I married, I started cooking meat with every meal because my husband was raised to be a big meat eater. We have raised our sons to be passionate carnivores.
I cannot ignore the cruelty to the animals any longer though. I have this image in my head of the cow farm I passed in Greeley, Colorado several years back. It had a billboard about being the biggest supplier of high quality meat. It was the worst smell in the world that permeated my car. The animals were jammed packed in a multi-fenced area. There were no grassy fields in sight. I repressed that memory as much as I could until now. I'm also facing the fact of what it means to our health when the animals are given all the antibiotics and steroids. One of my sons and I both have stomach issues and my husband and other son has immune system issues. Not to mention my having to fight an ever growing weight and choleserol issue. I've got to make a lifestyle change either way, so why not go vegan, ya know? For now, I think I will start off trying to get away with cooking a vegan supper tonight and see if anyone notices.

The Inner Man

What are these walls made of flesh and blood?

They will hold me in until they finally wear too thin.

In the beginning I thought this body and I were the same but as time has gone I realize I am the man within.

I am trapped inside and only able to communicate through the limited use of its abilities.

The words are not sufficient for telling my story.

The expressions are useless unless someone cares enough to see and even then they are often missed.

The sounds needed can either not be made or mistaken for something else.
The movements are controlled by its health and the forces of nature.

The artistic creations it can make are never as good or even close to how I created them.

Am I wrong to be disconnected from this body of mine?

Why does my spirit feel it should be able to do so much more than what is possible for this body?

I walk the earth within this vessel for now.

When I pray and sometimes in my dreams I get small glimpses of what I'll be able to do once I'm freed.

But wait....what is this?

Is someone else here..... here with me?

How did you get here?

You say are love?

You are the connection that is independent of the body and without boundaries?

Is this my temporary escape until my time has come to be fully released?
This is an entry for the Tenth Daughter of Memory Post, "Trapped".

Truth about lies

That is a lie.

No it is the truth.

So which is it?

Whatever you choose to call it, there is only one real truth.

Truth is written in history.

Everything about it always leads back to the point in which it started.

You may try to rewrite it so as to convince yourself it happened differently or not at all.

Such imagination to create a world within yourself to evade it.

But yet, there it stands big, bright, and sturdy never changing to your will.

One glance and fear makes you start rewriting once again.

An emotionally controlled state and a sober spiritual awareness allows too much of the truth in. Must protect self by the anger and numbness.

You almost feel as though you've changed it but the last pieces won't quite fit in place.

It remains intact without your permission nor does it accept your alternate story.

At what point will you stop using your version as a defense and see the real truth.

Why is it so bad to be wrong?

You breath easier once truth is acknowledged move on......

Is there an argument for the existence of God?

I found this article and it was so well written, I decided to just post it rather than putting it in my own words.

The question of whether there is a conclusive argument for the existence of God has been debated down through history, with exceedingly intelligent people taking both sides of the dispute. In recent times, arguments against the possibility of God’s existence have taken on a militant spirit that accuses anyone daring to believe in God as being delusional and irrational. Karl Marx asserted that anyone believing in God must have a mental disorder that caused invalid thinking. The psychiatrist Sigmund Freud wrote that a person who believed in a Creator God was delusional and only held their beliefs due to a ‘wish fulfillment’ factor that produced what Freud considered to be their unjustifiable position. The philosopher Frederick Nietzsche bluntly said that faith equates to not wanting to know what is true. The voices of these three figures from history (along with others) are simply now parroted by a new generation of atheists who claim that a belief in God is intellectually unwarranted.

Is this truly the case? Is belief in God a rationally unacceptable position to hold? Is there a logical and reasonable argument for the existence of God? Outside of referencing the Bible, can a case for the existence of God be made that refutes the positions of both the old and new atheists and gives sufficient warrant for believing in a Creator? The answer is yes it can. Moreover, in demonstrating the validity of an argument for the existence of God, the case for atheism is shown to be intellectually weak.

To make an argument for the existence of God, we must start by asking the right questions. And where to begin is with the most basic metaphysical question: “Why do we have something rather than nothing at all?” This is the basic question of existence—why are we here; why is the earth here; why is the universe here rather than nothing? Commenting on this point, one theologian has said, “In one sense man does not ask the question about God, his very existence raises the question about God.”

In considering this question, there are four possible answers to why we have something rather than nothing at all:
1. Reality is an illusion.
2. Reality is/was self-created.
3. Reality is self-existent (eternal).
4. Reality was created by something that is self-existent.

So, which is the most plausible solution? Let’s being with reality being simply an illusion, which is what a number of eastern religions believe. This option was ruled out centuries ago by the philosopher Rene Descartes who is famous for the statement, “I think, therefore I am.” Descartes, a mathematician, argued that if he is thinking then he must ‘be.’ In other words, “I think, therefore I am not an illusion.” Illusions require something experiencing the illusion, and moreover, you cannot doubt the existence of yourself without proving your existence; it is a self-defeating argument. So the possibility of reality being an Illusion is eliminated.

Next is the option of reality being self-created. When you study philosophy, you learn that there are things called ‘analytically false’ statements, which means they are false by definition. The possibility of reality being self-created is one of those types of statements for the simple reason that something cannot be prior to itself. If you created yourself, then you must have existed prior to you creating yourself, but that simply cannot be. In evolution this is sometimes referred to as ‘spontaneous generation’—something coming from nothing—a position that few, if any, reasonable people hold to anymore simply because you cannot get something from nothing. Even the atheist David Hume said, “I never asserted so absurd a proposition as that anything might arise without a cause.” This being the case, the alternative of reality being self-created is ruled out.

Now we are left with only two choices—an eternal reality or reality being created by something that is eternal: an eternal universe or an eternal Creator. The 18th century theologian Jonathan Edwards summed up the crossroads we have now come to this way:

• Something exists.
• Nothing cannot create something.
• Therefore, a necessary and eternal ‘something’ exists.

Notice that you must go back to an eternal ‘something.’ The atheist who derides the believer in God for believing in an eternal Creator must turn around and embrace an eternal universe; it is the only other door they can choose. But the question now is: where does the evidence lead? Does the evidence point to matter before mind or Mind before matter?

To date, all key scientific and philosophical evidence points away from an eternal universe and toward an eternal Creator. From a scientific standpoint, honest scientists admit the universe had a beginning, and whatever has a beginning is not eternal. In other words, whatever has a beginning has a cause, and if the universe had a beginning, it had a cause. The fact that the universe had a beginning is underscored by evidence such as the second law of thermodynamics, the radiation echo of the big bang discovered in the early 1900’s, the fact that the universe is expanding and can be traced back to a singular beginning, and Einstein’s theory of relativity. All prove the universe is not eternal.
Further, the laws that surround causation speak against the universe being the ultimate cause of all we know for this simple fact: an effect must resemble its cause. This being true, no atheist can explain how an impersonal, purposeless, meaningless, and amoral universe accidentally created beings (us) who are full of personality and obsessed with purpose, meaning, and morals. Such a thing, from a causation standpoint, completely refutes the idea of a natural universe birthing everything that exists. So in the end, the concept of an eternal universe is eliminated.
Philosopher J. S. Mill (not a Christian) summed up where we have now come to this way: “It is self-evident that only Mind can create mind.” The only rational and reasonable conclusion is that an eternal Creator is the one who is responsible for reality as we know it. Or to put it in a logical set of statements:
• Something exists.
• You do not get something from nothing.
• Therefore a necessary and eternal ‘something’ exists.
• The only two options are an eternal universe and an eternal Creator.
• Science and philosophy have disproven the concept of an eternal universe.
• Therefore, an eternal Creator exists

Former atheist Lee Strobel, who arrived at this end result many years ago, has commented: “Essentially, I realized that to stay an atheist, I would have to believe that nothing produces everything; non-life produces life; randomness produces fine-tuning; chaos produces information; unconsciousness produces consciousness; and non-reason produces reason. Those leaps of faith were simply too big for me to take, especially in light of the affirmative case for God's existence … In other words, in my assessment the Christian worldview accounted for the totality of the evidence much better than the atheistic worldview.”
But the next question we must tackle is this: If an eternal Creator exists (and we have shown that He does), what kind of Creator is He? Can we infer things about Him from what He created? In other words, can we understand the cause by its effects? The answer to this is yes, we can, with the following characteristics being surmised:
• He must be supernatural in nature (as He created time and space).
• He must be powerful (incredibly).
• He must be eternal (self-existent).
• He must be omnipresent (He created space and is not limited by it).
• He must be timeless and changeless (He created time).
• He must be immaterial because He transcends space/physical.
• He must be personal (the impersonal cannot create personality).
• He must be infinite and singular as you cannot have two infinites.
• He must be diverse yet have unity as unity and diversity exist in nature.
• He must be intelligent (supremely). Only cognitive being can produce cognitive being.
• He must be purposeful as He deliberately created everything.
• He must be moral (no moral law can be had without a giver).
• He must be caring (or no moral laws would have been given).
These things being true, we now ask if any religion in the world describes such a Creator. The answer to this is yes: the God of the Bible fits this profile perfectly. He is supernatural (Genesis 1:1), powerful (Jeremiah 32:17), eternal (Psalm 90:2), omnipresent (Psalm 139:7), timeless/changeless (Malachi 3:6), immaterial (John 5:24), personal (Genesis 3:9), necessary (Colossians 1:17), infinite/singular (Jeremiah 23:24, Deuteronomy 6:4), diverse yet with unity (Matthew 28:19), intelligent (Psalm 147:4-5), purposeful (Jeremiah 29:11), moral (Daniel 9:14), and caring (1 Peter 5:6-7).
One last subject to address on the matter of God’s existence is the matter of how justifiable the atheist’s position actually is. Since the atheist asserts the believer’s position is unsound, it is only reasonable to turn the question around and aim it squarely back at him. The first thing to understand is that the claim the atheist makes—‘no god’ which is that ‘atheist’ means—is an untenable position to hold from a philosophical standpoint. As legal scholar and philosopher Mortimer Adler says, “An affirmative existential proposition can be proved, but a negative existential proposition—one that denies the existence of something—cannot be proved.” For example, someone may claim that a red eagle exists and someone else may assert that red eagles do not exist. The former only needs to find a single red eagle to prove his assertion. But the latter must comb the entire universe and literally be in every place at once to ensure they have not missed a red eagle somewhere and at some time, which is impossible to do. This is why intellectual honest atheists will admit they cannot prove God does not exist.
Next, it is important to understand the issue that surrounds the seriousness of truth claims that are made and amount of evidence required to warrant certain conclusions. For example, if someone puts two containers of lemonade in front of you and says that one may be more tart than the other, since the consequences of getting the more tart drink would not be serious, you would not require a large amount of evidence in order to make your choice. However, if to one cup the host added sweetener but to the other he introduced rat poison, then you would want to have quite a bit of evidence before you made your choice.
This is where a person sits when deciding between atheism and belief in God. Since belief in atheism could possibly result in irreparable and eternal consequences, it would seem that the atheist should be mandated to produce weighty and overriding evidence to support their position, but they cannot. Atheism simply cannot meet the test for evidence for the seriousness of the charge it makes. Instead, the atheist and those whom they convince of their position slide into eternity with their fingers crossed and hope they do not find the unpleasant truth that eternity does indeed exist and that such a place is an awfully long time to be wrong. As Mortimer Adler says, “More consequences for life and action follow from the affirmation or denial of God than from any other basic question.”
So does belief in God have intellectual warrant? Is there a rational, logical, and reasonable argument for the existence of God? Absolutely. While atheists such as Freud claim that those believing in God have a wish fulfillment desire, perhaps it is Freud and his followers who actually suffer from wish fulfillment: the hope and wish that there is no God, no accountability, and therefore no judgment. But refuting Freud is the God of the Bible who affirms His existence and the fact that a judgment is indeed coming for those who know within themselves the truth that He exists but suppress that truth (Romans 1:20). But for those who respond to the evidence that a Creator does indeed exist, He offers the way of salvation that has been accomplished through His Son, Jesus Christ: "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God" (John 1:12-13).

Tytler's Cycle can be broken

Alexander Fraser Tytler, Lord Woodhouselee (15 October 1747 - 5 January 1813) was a Scottish-born British lawyer and writer.
The following unverified quotation has been attributed to Tytler, most notably as part of a longer piece which began circulating on the Internet shortly after the 2000 US Presidential Election.
A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage
This passage actually comprises two quotations, which didn't begin to appear together until the 1970's.
No matter what part can be attributed to Tytler or which part was added later, this is an interesting cycle to think about. How much truth is in it? Where do we find ourselves in the USA today? On the left side of the cycle or the right? The bigger question is which side of the cycle do we find ourselves in our personal life? If we take responsibility for our own actions in life, with love, there would be no cycle like this. It's time to stop blaming others for our current situation or waiting for someone to rescue us. As the late JFK said, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."
I know that if my focus is on God's plan for us, there is never time to have the complacency and apathy which would lead to my depending on someone to take care of me. When we are taken care of for so long, our basic survival skills are lost. When one stops loving and giving to only take, eventually there is nothing left at all. Bondage is the only result. It would seem that there is no longer a choice but to depend on someone else. But there is still a way to change that.
No person nor government can truly fulfill the needs of another. Only God can do that through his love and grace. As a Christian I am to give and to love others as I do for myself. God has already equipped us to gain all that we need. Although I may fall short often, God has a perfect plan if everyone were at least trying. Taking responsibility for my own actions and working to make a positive difference, through his love in me, is the result.
Proverbs 12:11 He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.
Proverbs 12: 14 From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him.

The Bread of Life

This is my adaptation from a skit I wrote for my church several years back. This is a fictitious fantasy story using my understanding of what Christianity means.

Indigo Talley juggled her shopping bags as she struggled to find her iPhone. It was screaming out her favorite song which she had downloaded the day before, as her ring tone. Just as her fingers touched it at the bottom of her Louis Vuitton’s handbag, something caught her eye. It was coming from across the park. Having a tendency of being nosy, she found herself almost jogging toward the direction of a bright light that was illuminating a small area of the park. She just had to get a closer look. The repetitive song on her phone broke her concentration, so she quickly stopped her fast pace and answered it.
“Hello?” It was one of her best friends, Arden.
“Hey girl, what’s up?” Arden said in her high pitched voice.
Oooh Arden! I got those fine boots we were looking at the other day at Neiman Marcus!!”
“Shut up Indigo! You mean those $900 brown leather Prada boots? No way!”
“Yep, that’s the ones and let me tell you they are worth every cent!”
“I’m so jealous but guess what, Indigo! I’m………”
“What?..how could that be glowing?" Indigo interrupted Arden before she could finish her sentence. She had arrived at the light she had been tracking across the park.
“I'm sorry Arden, let me call you back in a little while.”
"But..Indigo wait..."
She hung up her phone before Arden had the chance to mutter another word.
Normally Indigo would never acknowledge the homeless people throughout the park. They were invisible to her, but this one definitely had her attention. His shirt was ripped and the toe was missing from the top half of his left shoe.
He was sitting there with one hand stretched to the sky and saying, “Thank you God. Thank you for the blessings you have given me through Lord Jesus.”
In the other hand he was grasping a loaf of bread. Not just any loaf of bread but this one was glowing brightly, lighting up everything around them on that late fall afternoon.
Indigo slowly walked around to the front of the elderly man and cleared her throat. He opened his eyes to see her standing there staring.
He began to smile and she couldn’t help being moved inside by this man. It made no sense to her. How could someone with so little seem so happy?
“Sir, may I ask where you got that bread?” Indigo's curiosity was killing her.
“Hun, are you hungry?” he said as he started to pinch the end of his bread off to give to her.
“Who me? No, no thank you.” Indigo held her hand up to stop him.
Indigo became uncomfortable as he studied her face. She felt he could see right through her.
He spoke with a kind voice, “You don’t have to be ashamed. I too was so hungry not long ago but someone showed me where to get this bread. Since then, I've not been hungry once.”
“Me ashamed? Don’t be silly.” she tried to giggle and lighten the conversation.
He didn’t see the humor and continued to watch Indigo as if he knew she had something to tell him.
Indigo gave in and confided in this stranger her deepest thoughts.
“Well, I guess I am a little hungry. Actually, to be honest, I’m starving.” Indigo realized she was getting a bit too emotional. She didn't want to sound like a beggar, so she took a deep breath to gain her composure. She then took on a more arrogant tone.
“I have tasted so many things in my life. I’ve eaten from the tables of everyone I thought I needed to, so that I could be important. I am important you know.” Looking into his eyes, she hoped he'd realize her high status. When she noticed that he wasn't impressed but the compassion on his face for her did not change nor challenge her, she continued.
“I didn’t even like the food I was eating but when I ate it, people treated me so special.” She suddenly stopped as a lump grew in her throat. She thought about how hard it was to always keep up the appearance of one so perfect and proud, as her eyes clouded with tears.
“When I did not keep eating all they gave me, they treated me so awful. The fact is, those foods made me so sick inside and now I think it has created a cancer in me that is going to kill me.”
The man grabbed a Holy Bible that was sitting next to him on the bench and held it out to her.
“Well here, let me give you directions to where you can get your own loaf. This bread will change everything. You’ll never hunger again.”
Indigo realized she had probably shared too much about herself and became a bit fearful. “I don’t know, I’m not so good with directions. What if I get lost and besides, how will the bible give me directions?”
“You don’t have to figure it out alone. You see, I have a good friend who will help you understand how to get there.” he motioned to someone that she could not see.
Indigo put her hand over her face as she realized that the man was clearly crazy. She began to laugh at herself for falling for it. She thought, “I must really be falling apart. Who is this man anyway? A nobody! That’s right, no harm is done because this man is a nobody. It doesn’t matter what he thinks of me. Let me get out of here before someone sees me.”
As she removed her hand from her face she was shocked to see a ghost in a white robe standing beside the bench holding a lantern. Her heart pounded but she surprisingly did not feel afraid. The presence of this ghost was so peaceful. The man continued to tell her,
“This is my friend named Holy. Holy is a gentle guide that will never lead you down the wrong path. This spirit knows exactly where everything is and where you need to be.”
The ghost moved toward her and wiped away a tear that hadn’t dried from her cheek. Indigo had never felt so tranquil in all her life. She felt that no harm would ever come to her as long as she stayed close to Holy.
Holy lifted the lantern, casting a distinct lightened pathway and motioned for Indigo to follow. She quickly turned to tell the man thank you as she followed Holy, but he had already closed his eyes again and started praising God and thanking Jesus, as before.
Indigo eagerly followed Holy as they approached a bread cart. Beside it was a man in his thirties, dressed in white bakers clothing with a funny floppy bakers hat. He was yelling out to all that passed by,
“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.”
Holy stops in front of the bread cart, turns to Indigo and points to the bread man indicating that this is the place to get the special bread. It was then Indigo notices all the glowing loaves on his cart.
The bread man holds out a loaf to her.
“Here my friend, for you.”
Indigo doesn’t take the bread but instead starts digging in her purse for her wallet.
“How much?” Indigo asked the bread man.
“It’s free” The bread man stretches out to get the loaf closer to her.
“Oh no, I would never take it for free. I insist on paying for all things with my own money since I do have plenty of it.” Indigo giggles at the thought of her taking the bread for free from this man when she has so much money.
“You cannot pay for this bread. It can only be made by my Father and the price has already been paid in full, for you. He has made a loaf for everyone and I am the only one who knows which loaf was made special for you.” Said the bread man.
“What do you mean? Who is your father? Obviously, you don’t know who my father is and we don’t take hand-outs!” Indigo said defensively. How could he have made one special for me? You don't know me."
The bread man smiles at her as he says, “My father is God. He is the one who created all things including you, so of course he has always known you. The real you..in your heart. God loves you unconditionally. He doesn’t care who the world thinks you are or what you have or haven't done." “What if I decide to take the bread you give me and give it away…no, better yet, sell it! Wouldn’t that mess up your plan?” Indigo swallowed hard waiting for an answer.
The bread man did not get angry but instead smiled at her. He had a kind gentleness in his eyes as he started to explain, “I suppose you could give it away without ever trying it but that would break God's heart for he longs to know you. Of course, it’s okay if you want to share your bread with others because once you’ve tasted it, it becomes a part of you forever. You'll understand why there was a special loaf made for everyone. This bread means more than you realize. If you accept this bread from me it not only becomes a part of you but your name is also written into the book of life. This book allows you entrance into the Kingdom of God.” It shows that you know God and God knows you. I shows that a relationship exists between you and God.
Indigo was a little confused.
“So if you paid the price in full, you must be rich and what is this about your father having a kingdom?”
The bread man chuckles.
“Yes, I am very rich. Not only am I rich but in my father’s house are many mansions. I am going there to prepare a place for you. When the time is right, I will come back and take you to be with me.”
Indigo takes the bread from the bread man and examines it carefully.
“So continue explaining this bread to me. What kind is it anyway? Why does it glow?”
Holding the bread up, he says “This bread is the light that can be brought into the dark places of this world. It represents what I have done for you so that all your sins have been forgiven. This bread will give you a new life. All you have to do is decide that you know what I have done for you to be true.”
Trying to understand, Indigo asks,
“What does that mean? I mean, who are you and what did you do?”
“My name is Jesus. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me because of the price I paid for everyone. You see, the Holy Spirit placed me in the womb of a young virgin girl that gave birth to me. I am God who was formed into Man to walk the earth like you. I never sinned so that when man crucified me I became the final blood sacrifice. My sacrifice allows you to know God as your father in heaven so that you can have a relationship directly with Him. All you have to do is understand and confess that you are a sinner and that through this sacrifice I have made; your sins will be forgiven. You sins are covered through my blood that was shed.
Indigo was shocked.
“How could you be crucified?…….I mean…..YOUR NOT DEAD!”
Jesus took her hand.
“No, I’m not dead. Not anymore. After I was crucified I was then resurrected. I am very much alive. I know everything about you, Indigo, and I love you more than you will ever understand. For a time though, you will not see me. I will come back for you, so do not let your heart be troubled. I will live within your spirit and I will speak to you through the Holy Spirit.”
Jesus motions the Holy Spirit over to Indigo’s side while he continues to speak.
“Study the scriptures of the Holy Bible so you will gain the knowledge of all that has been given to you. Keep your spirit alert to hear my voice and write my words unto your heart so you will always know truth. Be still and notice the little things and you’ll see the works of my father to know he is God, the creator of all. Do you accept the things I have told you?”
Indigo overwhelmed at what she had learned begins to sob uncontrollably as she thought to herself. “Is it true? Could this be the son of God? Could God know everything about me and still love me? She took a bite of her bread. Suddenly Indigo knew without doubt that it was all true.
“Yes! Yes I do believe you Jesus!”
The Holy Spirit surrounds Indigo with a bright light.
Her emotions were out of control. She had never felt so ashamed of who she was. For the first time she saw herself as the self centered, egotistical person she really was, shattering the proud image of who she thought she was. She could suddenly see the faces of all those who she treated so badly.
“Jesus, I’m so sorry for the things I have done and that you had to die for me. I am a sinner! My arrogance has blinded me for far too long. Thank you for loving me enough to die for me.”
Jesus said, “Leave all the pain, sorrow and darkness in your past behind and realize that you are now made new, reborn into a child of God. Forgive yourself for I have forgiven you, Indigo. ”
Jesus picks up a large book that was on his cart. He writes something in it and holds it up as if he were showing what he wrote to all the heavens.
“Indigo, your name is now written into the Lamb’s book of Life.”
Indigo takes another bite of the bread.
“I will share my bread with all of those who do not have any. I will serve each one in your name Jesus so that they might find you to get their own. I will share this amazing love I feel. What is this love I feel so strong between us?”
Jesus puts his hands on Indigo’s shoulders.
“It is the perfect love. It is because you have come to know God. God is love. When you live in love you live in God, and God in you. In this way, love is made complete among us. Take this love and share it with everyone you meet. Use it to teach them about me.”
Jesus and Indigo embrace. The Holy Spirit surrounds them both. Indigo feels as if she is transported to another time and place, somewhere that there is complete peace and joy. She feels overwhelmed with the love coming from God himself.
Jesus pats her on the back as he turns to the bread cart and starts to wheel it way. He looks back at Indigo and tells her,
“Do not forget what I have given to you. Walk with me every day in spirit, so you will stay strong in truth. Although this world is full of darkness that wants nothing more than to put out my light, it only takes the smallest flame to light an entire room. Do not be deceived though. Light must be injected into the shadows for all darkness to disappear.
Indigo watches until she can no longer see Jesus. She suddenly realizes that his presence is still as strong as when he was standing before her.
“He was right. He does live within my spirit!”
She falls to her knees crying out to heaven,
“Thank you Jesus!! I understand now! It is only through you that I can know these things. You are the king! You are my Lord! YOU ARE MY SAVIOR!! In you O’Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness. Lead me to those who need you so I can show them how to find you too through the same love and grace you give me.”

Indigo then began noticing all around her, the look of desperation and loneliness of many people that were passing her. She knew what she must do. She had to share Gods gift of salvation with them all.
She thought, “How can I make them understand what it is that I now know? How can I make them realize that it is true?”
It suddenly hit her.
“Love is the answer! It is the only thing that will really work. Love will not fail. Love with God’s love.
The perfect love……..
